changing to Windows 7 32bit has changed the whole picture.
#ELGATO EYETV HYBRID 2009 DRIVERS#
I used to use Vista 64 and had no end of driver troubles, some drivers worked and some thought they did. It does however take absolutely aaageessss to scan for channels, although admittedly you'd normally only do this the once. I'm using Windows 7 Media Center at the moment, which is at least simple to set up and doesn't have any showstopping bugs that I've encountered so far. I think the main TV-on-the-PC issues are mostly to do with the available software packages, all of which seem to have their share of annoyances. I don't think you can get them anywhere now apart from eBay, which is a shame as they're an awful lot of bang for the buck.
It also spat the dummy with early beta versions of Win7, but it works perfectly with RC1 using the Windows drivers. I had terrible problems at first getting it to work under Vista 圆4 (although it worked fine with a 32-bit system) - the WHQL drivers from Windows Update were completely useless, although I eventually found a release of the Black Gold drivers which seemed to do the trick.
Has anyone here actually found a decent one? If so, what OS are you using it on and what is your hardware?I have a Pinnacle 7010iX (6-in-1) - essentially the same as the Black Gold BGT3540, but much cheaper. I have had a brief look on the internet for reviews of other products and TBH it seems like all PC TV tuners are pretty repoy.
